Luke’s Chophouse (Singapore)
Why I like it: Fantastic Steaks, Upscale & Chic Setting, Ideal place for a memorable dinner in Singapore
Let’s keep it short and simple.
The Bone-in Tenderloin I had in Luke’s Chophouse in their Gemmill Lane Outlet was the best piece of meat I had in Singapore – ever. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a straight 11. Divine.
We started our evening with a nice and decent Trio of Dips which comprised of Guacamole, Southern Style Cheese and Creme of Trout. Where as the latter two reminded me strongly on tastes from my home country. Trout is simply the most common fish and can be found all over. The Southern Style cheese reminds everyone on a nice mix of Liptauer and Obatza. I can’t blame him though – the starter was extraordinary tasty and I couldn’t stop eating.
We order a mouthwatering piece of Bone-In Tenderloin – medium – in a fantastic pepper crust and a beautiful sauce as a main. The potato mash and the asparagus just went along very well with it.
Truly speaking that was one of the best dinners we had. Luke’s Gemmill Lane Outlet lets you enjoy a special evening in a special setting. Very modern and sleek Chop House that caters for that special night.
Also special are the prices not only for food but also for wine. Be prepared to spend big monies. The quality is worth it though and truly speaking – we are already planned our next night there.
Despite the high restaurant density in Singapore – you usually don’t find something that special.
There are many other options in Singapore in a similar pricey range e.g CUT by Wolfgang Puck or SALT in ION, but this restaurant has been topping all of them.
