Grilled Feta Cheese
I am eating at least one package of Feta per week – I really love eating it as it can come in some many variations.
One of my favourite ‘quick deal’ meal is grilled feta cheese. You don’t need a BBQ for this, you can also use your oven to do it.
It goes extremely well with roasted vegetables or with bread. We really like to serve it as a starter for guests or as a main dish for vegetarians.
Serves 2 PAX
- 1 Package of Feta
- 1 small Onion
- Freshly cracked Black Pepper
- Pinch of Salt
- Chili Flakes
- Splash of Olive Oil
Equipment: Alu Foil
Pre-heat your oven to around 200 C°. Tear off a sheet of foil.
Slice the onion into rings.
Place the Feta on the foil, put the onions on the cheese. Spice with Black Pepper, Salt and Chili Flakes. Splash some olive oil on the Cheese. If on hand you can garnish the cheese with some fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary.
Wrap the foil around the cheese. Put in the (pre-heated) oven for about 15-20 mins. Here we go, a small vegetarian delight.
